Progress on renewing our passports — 2 weeks ago

ellie added an entry about Get (or renew) a passport:

We’re actually making slow, yet steady progress on this goal.

Working on renewing my husband’s as well.

We have to get certified copies of our marriage certificate, because we both changed our last name.

I better hurry and get this task accomplished before my husband loses his photos! We had those taken a month ago.

I’m doing all right. Trying to straighten up and fly right.

Rooting for you and your self-sufficiency goal. It’s the best.

Thank you for the cheer on my hope to finish “Infinite Jest.”

It’s been awhile since I’ve hung out in Robot Co-op land.

It was great to see your user icon staring up at me.

You have a wonderful goal here, too. Taking your passion for cooking and going all the way to self-reliance/self-sufficiency.

Looks like you’re well on your path to success.

ellie commented on an entry titled, A story about "Infinite Jest: A Novel":

The Coop Robots seem to be having problems … This entry was only supposed to be posted once. Ugh for all those reading the gestalt.

Tried deleting the other three, but kept getting an error message. Double ugh.

Twenty hours later, still can’t delete the other three entries. Triple ugh.

Reading the book is going well so far.

I guess with this many entries on the my consumption of the book, I really must try to finish it!

Peace.
Happy Trails.

A story about "Infinite Jest: A Novel" — 2 weeks ago

by David Foster Wallace

Back when “Infinite Jest” was first published, I starting reading it.

It was great reading. Fast paced.

But the subject matter was all about people’s addictions.
At that point in time, I didn’t want to read about more people’s addictions. I’ve read much of the Beatnik generation’s work to have had enough of that genre.

More than a decade has passed since then.
I’m gonna try to tackle this hefty book, again.

It’s a matter of endurance today.
